Temporary and seasonal tasks are offered at most state parks and leisure areas, with varying periods of work to consist of more opportunities during our peak season. All seasonal positions at Jordan Lake State Recreation Area are noted below. Not all of them are currently open for working with. General Utility Worker


General Utility Workers work seasonally as much as 40 hours weekly, with vacation and weekend work needed. The positions normally start from March-April and go through September-October.


This position is accountable for park clean-up and daily maintenance in specific areas, which will be appointed to each employee.


This consists of cleansing toilets, picnic locations, outdoor camping locations, parking area, shelters, and nature tracks. GUWs might also run lawn mowers, weedeaters and blowers.


Candidates need to be at least 16 years of ages; nevertheless, just those 18 years or older and have a valid chauffeur's license can run state lorries and devices.


Park Attendant/ Ticket Booth Operator


Park Attendants/ Ticket Booth Operators work seasonally up to 40 hours each week, with holiday and weekend work needed. The positions usually begin from March-April and run through September-October.

This position is primarily responsible for collecting charges from all who enter the park's recreational facilities, and for registering campers in camping sites. General park clean-up may be needed.

Visitor Center Office Attendant


Job Information


The Visitor Center Office Attendant works 16 hours a week during weekends and rotating shifts, as needed. This position will be required to work weekends and/or weekdays.


The pay is $17 per hour.


Duties and Responsibilities


This position will be assisting the park's office assistants by being the first contact to greet park visitors and offering them with details and support. Duties consist of: responding to the telephone and emails, utilizing a bookings system to book outdoor camping and facilities, taking messages, performing clerical tasks like typing letters and fliers, and opening/closing the visitor center on the days they are working. They will also run two-way radios and handle money.


Requirements and Qualifications


The perfect candidate needs to understand the area surrounding the park.
