Unlocking the Skill

Raise Spectre becomes available in the mid-game through the Occult branch of the Witch’s skill tree. Unlike traditional minions summoned from set templates, Bind Spectre lets you choose which monsters you raise by targeting their corpses. Once bound, their souls are stored in your spectre gem, ready for summoning whenever you please.

How to Use It

Using Raise Spectre is simple in practice but requires strategic forethought. After defeating a monster, cast Bind Spectre on the corpse. The soul is then bound to your spectre gem. From there, open your summon menu and bring your new minion into battle like any other.

Spirit, your summoning resource, determines how many and what type of spectres you can maintain. Stronger creatures require more Spirit, so balancing your pool is essential if you plan to raise multiple powerful minions.

What Carries Over?

A key detail for aspiring necromancers: rare enemy modifiers do not carry over when binding spectres. That means capturing a flashy rare won’t automatically net you a powerhouse. Instead, focus on the abilities and roles of your spectres. A caster-type enemy becomes a mobile artillery unit; a durable brute can be turned into a frontline tank.
