Is anyone just getting an endless circle of login prompts? I enter the password, am told to verify, and it just sends me

I wonder if the compuer cached a new logon token or something that the old Outlook profile could use.

I feel like this issue is getting progressively worse as the fix used to be FixTechGuide Windows update Outlook fix clearing the credential manager or if it was bad uninstalling the entire Office Suite, clearing all traces and reinstalling and now we are seeing nothing helping it. Have looked all over and people have all sorts of possible solutions, but nothing we found to resolve the issue and get a new issue daily and just keep going through until it eventually works. Problem doesn’t just happen on PC’s connected to the internal network, but can happen when a laptop is remote and connected via external wifi or mobile hotspot. Today was the first time in about 2 months that I had the issue. It happened right before lunch, locked my machine, went out for lunch, came back, and logged in, this time successfully.

So figuring that was the same issue here, I did the same thing. I'm also getting Error 29, which the MS support rep couldn't explain to me. I even tried disabling my anti -virus while authenticating, that didn't work. On the off chance that none of these things solve this issue for you, please contact our Outlook stuck updating folders solution support team at

Loop of 'Sign in to your account'.

We had the issue where Outlook 2016 kept prompting for a password for an Office 365 user whose laptop was connected to their Office 365 account using Windows 10 Pro. The repeated issue logging in started after I enabled the modern authentication in the Office 365 administration panel. The user could use the Windows mail and calendar apps but Outlook wouldn’t connect and kept prompting for a password. Checking the Account in Word showed the correct authentication and subscription.

I have contacted my organization and everything looks alright from their end.. I went as far as getting a new device but it did not cut it. When I try to sign again it will be stuck in sign in loop with the message " Taking you to your organization sign in page" after I have logged in on my company site... When I log in to my account at first from a new device or after a while, it stays signed in and I can work peacefully for about an hour, then it automatically signs me out. Or, any suggestion on how to fix this issue, even fix MFA prompts not working better. I do NOT have this issue with the other laptop, an iPad, a MacBook Pro and tablet.

  • Right now we have it set to prompt when a user is not on any of our corporate networks or they are using a mobile device.
  • I cannot find the phone number again to contact MS Office support (eventually they were helpful, but only after insisting they help!), I'm in the Netherlands so if someone has a phone number, I'd love to get it again.
  • I do NOT have this issue with the other laptop, an iPad, a MacBook Pro and tablet.
  • If you are saying that they are getting multiple MFA prompts then this is an out of sync issue with the wrong code being used.
  • We had the issue where Outlook 2016 kept prompting for a password for an Office 365 user whose laptop was connected to their Office 365 account using Windows 10 Pro.
  • A vast community of Microsoft Office365 users that are working together to support the product and others.
  • In each case the fix has either been one of the above items or a combination of them.
